We always value our partnership with parents and hope that you will be able to support us by making sure that the children are punctual at the start of the school day and attend wearing school uniform.
Our school day
Breakfast Club begins at 8.00am for children who would like to attend. A member of staff will come to the main gate at 8.00am and let the children in. Parents are able to bring children in and come to the school office if they need to.
Children can arrive for breakfast club up until 8.25am. In order to ensure appropriate safeguarding and supervision for the children attending breakfast club, after 8.25am children not attending breakfast club will need to wait with parents and only come on to the school site when the gates open at 8.40am.
The start time for children from Year 1 to Year 6 will be 8.45am and it is important that all children are in school every day and on time. For Year R, the children will start at 8.50am. Parents and children can come through any school gate once the gates have been opened by a member of school staff. As the playground will not be supervised before this time, only breakfast club children will be on the playground before 8.40am.
We ask children to come in to school in their PE kit on PE and Games day. A link to the timetable can be found just below this section. Please ensure that children wear their school sweatshirt on top and that PE kit is in school colours.
We ask that children bring a water bottle from home each day.
At the end of the day the school gates will be opened at 3.05pm for you to collect your children from their classrooms at 3.15pm. Year R pick up will be at 3.10pm to allow time to walk to pick up older siblings.
While you are welcome to come into the school office, we are also happy for you to telephone or email with any requests or queries. Year Groups have a year group email address which will be checked once a day during school opening hours. If you have an urgent communication, please do telephone or email the school office as they will be able to respond far more quickly than staff who will be teaching during the school day.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
Assemblies
Assemblies are held regularly in the school hall, a year group at a time.
