Uncovering Our Local History

Over the next four weeks the children will get involved with discovering the History of their local area. In our History lessons, we will investigate the History of our school, explore Staunton Country Park and uncover the history of the park and lastly delve into the history of Havant Art Centre ‘The Spring’.

Years 1 and 2:

Our educational journey has been a captivating exploration of history, enriched with immersive experiences and in-depth research.

We’ve delved into the annals of history through various avenues, including interviews, field studies, and engaging in role plays and living history scenarios. These activities have allowed us to step into the shoes of historical figures, gaining a deeper understanding of their lives and times.

Years 3 and 4
