In our PSHE lessons, we have been focusing on the theme of RESPECT. We’ve explored what respect means to us as individuals, within our school, and in the wider community. We’ve also discussed how being treated with respect makes us feel and why it’s so important to show respect to others. Alongside discussions about respectful language and emotions, the children had the opportunity to put respect into action by working together on challenging team activities.
Years 1 and 2:
In this session, we demonstrated how to show respect in the classroom and towards one another. The children participated in a multiple-choice activity where they identified the correct ways to demonstrate respect to their peers and in the classroom.
In Year 2, we compared different cartoon characters and discussed their similarities and differences. The children did an excellent job using respectful language when talking about both the similarities and differences.
